OverDrive, an eBook platform, for Lehigh County patrons who have active library cards. OverDrive provides libraries with a portal for browsing, checking out, and downloading eBooks in EPUB, Kindle, and PDF formats.
Please note: Library users must login with their home library cards. The login screen will report "invalid library card" if an Access card is used. This applies throughout the consortium.
OverDrive supports iPod®, iPhone®, iPad™, Android™, Amazon Kindle®, Sony® Reader, and thousands of other mobile devices.

Searching & Browsing
Overdrive can be searched by using the search toolbox.
The collection can be searched or browsed. As seen below - Overdrive provides age content and genre subcontent (Adult Mystery & Thriller) catagories. To search the collection, simply type the title or author in the 'SEARCH' box.
The RED HIGHLIGHT allows users to login to their account. Patrons should note that a HOME library card must be used.
The GREEN HIGHLIGHT allows patrons to access an online help section.
The YELLOW HIGHLIGHT allows patrons to search the catalog for a book by title, author, or subject, or keyword.
Clicking the ADVANCED SEARCH (underneath the search box) will provide the opportunity for a more targeted search, and allow the patron to search for book by author or other options.
In order to download content from OverDrive - patrons must be logged onto the service.
The service is limited to patrons within Lehigh County and the Palmerton, Lehighton, and Dimmick Memorial Library's service areas.
- Click SIGN IN (upper right hand corner of screen).
- Select the drop down box.
- *Select your HOME library.
- Enter your Library Card number
- Enter your PIN number+
- You are successfully signed in.
*Your home library is the library that you support as a tax payer.
+Whitehall Township Public Library authenticates against both the library card number and PIN. Library cards without a PIN or patrons who have forgotten their PIN should come into the library.
